Sync Batch Data

Upon initial installation, the batch application does not contain any IntelliTrack data. IntelliTrack application data must be downloaded to the batch device BEFORE using IntelliTrack to perform transactions and add data. To download data from the workstation application database, tap Sync > Download.

• A Status form appears, showing you the data transfer status.

• When the download is complete, the Status form closes automatically and you are returned to the Main form. The batch database now contains the same IntelliTrack data as the main application database. The databases are now in sync.

The following application data is downloaded to the device during a data download:

• Users: the user's list, including username, password, user preferences, and user role
• Division(s): division list
• Site(s): site list
• Locations: location list
• Items: item list
• Units of Measure: unit of measure lookup list
• Lookups: category, manufacturer, and model lookup list
• Assets: asset list
• Reservations: list of reserved assets
• Inventory: inventory list
• Customers: customer list
• Vendors: vendor list
• Assignees: assignee list
• Picking Orders: list of picking orders
• Receiving Orders: list of receiving orders
• Conditions: conditions list
• Queries: list of custom queries for the View Data form
• Barcode Parsing Rules: list of barcode parsing rules
• Custom Resources: list of custom titles for the handheld application.

The data transactions (such as physical inventory, asset inventory,issue, receipt, return, pick, receive, item move, location move, etc.) found at the View Collected Data form are uploaded to the main application during a data sync operation (see "Batch Collected Data" for more information). All items, assets, locations , or containers added to the application during this batch session are also uploaded during a data sync. All data added (including items, assets, locations and containers) to the application and all transactions performed during a batch session are stored in the Upload table. Data such as items, assets, containers, and locations are added to the main database during the data upload. However, a transaction remains separate from the main application database until it is processed into the main database from the Upload Processing page in the IntelliTrack web application.

1. To upload collected data to the main workstation database, tap Sync > Upload from the menu bar.
2. A Status form appears, showing you the status of the data transfer process.

3. When the upload is completed successfully, the Status form closes automatically, and you are returned to the Main form.
4. If items, assets, locations or containers are uploaded, they are immediately placed in the main database; they do not require a separate processing step.
5. The transaction data that is uploaded requires a separate processing step. It is processed into the main application database from the Upload Processing page in the main web application (see "Mobile Batch Transactions" for a list of transactions available in IntelliTrack Mobile).

Note: In order to process the uploaded data, the role of the logged-in user must contain edit access to the Batch Processing feature.

Uploaded batch transactions are displayed at the Upload Processing page.

1. Select Portable > Batch Processing from the menu bar in the IntelliTrack web application to reach this page.

2. The uploaded batch transactions appear in the form grid. To process the transactions into the main IntelliTrack database, select the Process icon.
3. A message appears asking you to confirm this action.

4. All data displayed there will be processed into the main web application database.
   1. PI (Physical Inventory): Items are added to the location and become part of inventory for all physical count transactions.
   2. MO (Move From/Move To): Items are moved from source location to destination location for all move transactions.
   3. IS (Issue): Issue transaction is performed for each item included in the stock issue order.
   4. RC (Receipt): Receipt transaction is performed for each item included in the stock receipt.
   5. RT (Return): Return transaction is performed and for each item included in the stock return.
   6. New Order: For each new issue, receipt, and return order, a New Order transaction is added when the first item in the order is processed.
   7. Order Update (Issue, Receipt, Return): For each issue, receipt, and return order, an Order Update transaction is added when any subsequent item in the order is processed.
   8. Order Update (Pick, Receive): For each item picked or received, an Order Update transaction is added when the pick/receive transaction is processed.
   9. PCK (Pick): Pick transaction is performed and item is relieved from the inventory location.
   10. RCV (Receive): Receive transaction is performed and item is added to the inventory location.
5. During data processing, a notification appears onscreen: Processing Records. Please wait.

6. When the processing is finished, all processed transactions are removed from the Upload Processing page; thus indicating that the data has been processed into the main IntelliTrack application.
   1. The collected data transactions from the batch device are now synchronized with the main application database.
   2. The processed transactions appear in application history at the View History page (select Reports > History from the menu bar to reach this page and view the history transactions).
   3. If a collected batch transaction cannot be processed, an alert icon is displayed by it. It also contains a message with information about the processing error for this transaction.

7. After the batch data is uploaded and processed into the main database, download main application data to IntelliTrack Mobile batch to keep the databases synchronized.
